You can choose your house plans and house styles that are just right for you.

When you get a builder to build your custom home - he will have plans you can pick from. There are always things you wish to change, but each change usually costs you.

I had so much fun choosing the plans for the houses we built. There are many plan developers available. I would go and sit down and go through book after book. I would live in the plan. I would drive the car into the garage, take the groceries in the house, place children in rooms, see where we wanted a family room away from the bedrooms, etc. I have to admit it would take me days to find just the right house plan, whether it was for resale or for our own personal use..

While I was there - builders would come in and say - I need a plan with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2,000 sq. ft, etc - pick up his plan and leave. But I just could not do that - I had to live in the plan first.
