ADVANTAGES OF DOING IT
YOURSELF
There are many advantages of
subcontracting and building your own home.
You could start out as we did - get
the shell built and complete it yourself to see if
this is what you really want to do - complete that
house - sell it and make enough profit to start the
project of building your own home.
Each house we completed we then sold
and made good profits on each one.
But in the meantime - while
completing our project of having the shell built and
completing the inside, I fell in love with the whole
process. I started on a journey of learning and
educating myself. Checked out houses in every stage -
read everything I could get my hands on - went
through the whole process on paper time and time
again.
The first advantage of DOING
IT YOURSELF is, of course, the savings
you will realize.
You can save enough on a house by
doing it yourself to knock off anywhere from $200 to
$400 a month on your house payment. That is a big
incentive. You can save from 15% to 30%.
This can be instant home equity for you.
Make this an enjoyable project
each step of the way.
Let's take a look at the process
