DISSATISFACTION SETTING IN - BRING OUT THE SHOTGUN
Well we all do it!!! - Shotgun marketing.
We work and work, market and market and cannot figure out why our
mailboxes are not just overloaded with orders. Unless you were
super
lucky - you can relate to this feeling.
We wake up one morning and think - well what I am doing is just
not
working. I'm just going to hit it like there is no tomorrow.
Pull out all the FFA listings - hit all the classifieds - send
out all the
free ads - frantic to get the word out - surely someone will hit
my
site.
OK - so it pulls in some hits - now comes the problem. They hit
your
site and are flooded with a link here and a link there - try this
product -
try that product and soon they have clicked off your site and
onto
someone else's site.
Isn't is amazing the lengths we go to in order to bring customers
into
our sites and then just send them off in another direction.
Your site should consist of a nice clean, uncluttered
presentation which
tells of all the benefits your product has to offer and points
the customer
straight to an order page.
Stand back and take a look through their eyes - would you be
confused
if you came to your site.
I just did that and cleaned house - Took ever link off my main
page that
sent people off to another direction.
I have links listed at the bottom to some of my affiliates and
other pages
in my site - but the main object is to have my products with a
link to
an order page and not cluttered up with a lot of items that are
not
profitable to me.
All of my affiliate links are weaved into my 8 step Building
Block map
up this super highway, so it gets exposure, along with guidance
for
the beginner and streams of income for the beginning marketer.
You have to learn to be creative in making your presentations.
There
is so much competition across the web that surfers get tired of
seeing
the same old presentations all the time and the same old
programs.
Look for new products, new articles, learn to write your own -
let
your personality show through - bring in some humor. If you copy
someone - it will still not come across effectively because YOU
will
be missing out of what you copy.
Copy ideas, presentations, etc. But let yourself come through on
your
website. Thats what makes the web so unique - people are special
and that special personality comes through in your presentation.
It would be a pretty boring web if it was all in black and white
and
presented the same way. Be yourself and let yourself shine
through.

ARE YOU A CARROT, AN EGG OR A COFFEE BEAN?
A daughter complained to her father about her life and how
things were so hard for her. She did not how she was going to
make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and
struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved a new one
arose.
Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots
with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came
to a boil. In one he placed carrots, in the second he placed
eggs, and the last he placed ground coffee beans. He let them
sit and boil, without saying a word.
The daughter sucked her teeth and impatiently waited,
wondering what he was doing. In about twenty minutes he and
turned off the burners. He fished the carrots out and placed
them in a bowl. He pulled the eggs out and placed them a
bowl. Then he ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl.
Turning to her he asked. "Darling, what do you see."
"Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied.
He brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did
and noted that they were soft. He then asked her to take an egg
and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-
boiled egg. Finally, he asked her to sip the coffee. She smiled
as she tasted its rich aroma.
She humbly asked. "What does it mean Father?"
He explained that each of them had faced the same adversity,
boiling water, but each reacted differently.
The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. But after
being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became
weak.
The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its
liquid interior. But after sitting through the boiling water, its
inside became hardened.
The ground coffee beans were unique however. After they
were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.
"Which are you," he asked his daughter. "When
adversity
knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot,
an egg, or a coffee bean? "

How about you? Are you the carrot that seems hard, but with
pain and adversity do you wilt and become soft and lose your
strength?
Are you the egg, which starts off with a malleable heart? Were
you a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a divorce, or a
layoff have you become hardened and stiff. Your shell looks
the same, but are you bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and
heart?
Or are you like the coffee bean? The bean changes the hot
water, the thing that is bringing the pain, to its peak flavor
reaches 212 degrees Fahrenheit. When the water gets the
hottest, it just tastes better.
If you are like the coffee bean, when things are at their worst,
you
get better and make things better around you .
When people talk about you, do your praises to the Lord
increase? When the hour is the darkest and trials are their
greatest, does your worship elevate to another level?
How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg, or a
coffee bean?

Judge Jerry Buchmeyer of the US District Court for the Northern
District
of Texas writes a monthly article for the Texas Bar Journal.
Often, he
cites unusual exchanges between lawyers and witnesses during
trials.
The following true exchange says it all:
Lawyer: "So, Doctor, you determined that a gunshot wound was
the cause
of death of the patient?"
Doctor: "That's correct."
Lawyer: "Did you examine the patient when he came to the
emergency
room?"
Doctor: "No, I performed the autopsy."
Lawyer: "OK, were you aware of his vital signs when he was
at the
hospital?"
Doctor: "He came into the emergency room in shock and died a
short
time later."
Lawyer: "Did you pronounce him dead at that time?"
Doctor: "No, I am the pathologist who performed the autopsy.
I was
not involved with the patient initially."
Lawyer: "Well, are you even sure then, that he died in the
emergency
room."
Doctor: "That is what the records indicate."
Lawyer: "But if you weren't there, how could you have
pronounced him
dead, having not seen or physically examined the patient at
that time?"
Doctor: "The autopsy showed massive hemorraging in the chest
area and
that was the cause of death."
Lawyer: "I understand that, but you were not actually
present to
examine the patient and pronounce him dead, isn't that
right?"
Doctor: "No, sir, I did not see the patient or actually
pronounce him
dead, but I did perform an autopsy and right now his brain is
in a jar over at the county morgue. As for the rest of the
patient, for all I know, HE COULD BE OUT PRACTICING LAW
SOMEWHERE!!"
